Starbucks Coffee needed ideas to help build the marketing strategy for their holiday (Christmas) promotion. The challenge was to build ideas that would…

  • support world-wide implementation,
  • include all relevant business channels,
  • and respect the cultural nuances of the country Starbucks serves.

Idea Sandbox designed and led a comprehensive, creative problem solving session incorporating team members from (among others) the international, consumer products, licensed store, food service, and retail marketing teams.

The sessions engaged participants and generated literally hundreds of ideas that were then ranked and narrowed down to the fewer, bigger, and better solutions.

Ideas generated during the sessions were used in creating and implementing the first integrated, global holiday promotion in Starbucks history.
