The Bear Necessities of Business
I don’t know where Maxine Clark, Chief Executive Bear at Build-A-Bear Workshop found the time to write a book?! “The Bear Necessities of Business: Building a Company with Heart” will be in bookstores on May 6th (Amazon has it listed as available April 21). By the way, if you visit www.bearnecessitiesbook.com it takes you to an Amazon page for the book… pretty neat use of the URL.
Maxine founded Build-A-Bear Workshop in 1997 and since has opened over 240 stores. Build-A-Bear Workshop has just acquired a bear-building factory in the UK, acts locally by sponsoring local communities and is growing globally. They have locations in Australia, Denmark, France, Japan, The Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom. and most recently announced plans to expand into India. Wow!
